According to Article 18 of the Law on Donation, collection and transplantation of human tissues and organs and donation and collection of corpses, the procedures for registration of donation of human tissues and organs after death are regulated as follows:
Registration conditions:
Persons aged full eighteen years or older with full civil act capacity have the right to donate their own tissues and organs after death.
The application form for donation of human tissues and organs after death is specified in Form No. 3 - Decision No. 07/2008/QD-BYT.
Implementation process:
Upon receiving information of a person who wishes to donate human organs or tissues after death, the medical establishment shall have to notify the National Coordination Center for Human Organ Transplantation.
When receiving a notice of a donation of human tissues or organs, the National Coordination Center for Human Organ Transplantation is responsible for notifying the medical facility to carry out registration procedures for the donor. give.
After receiving the notice, the competent medical facility will proceed to:
– Directly meet the donor to advise on information related to donating, taking tissues and organs.
- Guidance on registration of donation according to the application form; Perform health checks for donors.
- Issue registration cards to donate tissues and organs after death to donors.
– Report the list of registered donors who have been granted registration cards to donate human tissues and organs after death to the National Coordination Center for Human Organ Transplantation.

The registration of donation of human tissues and organs after death takes effect from the time the registrant is granted a donation registration card.
