Generally concerning the current situation, the situation of COVID-19 pandemic has been demonstrated with caution with more and more continuously serious records reported about mutated virus SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, the risk of pandemic spreading out of the community is very high, especially infected people arriving in Vietnam from different areas around the world. National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has issued Exigent Official Letter No.600/CĐ-BCĐ sending to Ministries, Ministry-Level Agencies, Government Agencies; People's Committee in the cities under (the jurisdiction of) the central government. This Letter regulates about adjusting period of centralized medical isolation, time of controlling after the end of centralized medical isolation progress and prevention, control pandemic test, with specific notifications as follows:

Time of centralization: at least continuously 21 days at the centralized isolation location applied for:

• Visitors/People of arrival in Vietnam;
• Individuals that have close-contact/near-contact to whom SARS-CoV-2 given test positive.

During the time of centralized isolation, SARS-CoV-2 test will be given at least 3 times on the first day, the 14th day and on 20th. 

Adjusting period of continuously following health status at home, place of staying from 14 days down to 07 days after the end of centralized isolation; proceeding to get samples for SARS-CoV-2 test on the 7th day (counting from the end of centralized isolation).
