FIRE SAFETY, FIRE FIGHTING FOR PRIVATE HOUSES
Pursuant to Article 6 of the Regulations on fire prevention and fighting safety for individual houses and houses in combination with business and production in Ho Chi Minh City

Household owners and individuals using separate houses need to maintain fire safety measures in order to limit the risk of fire and explosion in the process of living.
a) Property, materials and inflammable substances must be arranged and arranged neatly, without obstructing the exit and escape routes, ensuring the quick and safe evacuation of people and property when a fire occurs; arrange places for keys, common demolition tools (hammer, axe, crowbar, pliers, etc.) in conspicuous and easy-to-reach places to promptly open the door in case of fire or explosion incidents.
b) Failure to arrange or use insecticidal sprays at the location where the naked flame is used for cooking; When detecting a characteristic odor of gas (liquefied petroleum gas - LPG), the electrical system must be kept in its current state (do not turn on or off the switches of power-consuming equipment at that time), do not use a torch. open fire (lighters, matches, kerosene lamps, incense, candles...), use natural ventilation (open windows, avoid sparks) to release gas, immediately lock the valve and notify the nearest supply agent; Do not use used mini gas cylinders of unknown origin or origin.
When burning incense to worship, burning votive paper, when cooking must be watched by someone; Before leaving the house or going to bed, you must check and turn off the power to the appliances that are not in use.
c) Regularly organize inspection, repair and replacement of damaged and unsafe electrical equipment. Damaged power lines and electrical equipment must be repaired immediately or cut off the power to unsafe electrical lines or equipment.
d) When repairing or renovating a house, it is necessary to use a welder who has been granted a certificate of welding and cutting and a certificate of professional training in fire prevention and fighting; the construction process must ensure solutions to prevent fire, take measures to prevent welding flakes from contacting flammable substances; prepare tools and means of fire fighting and must be supervised, ready to fight fire during the welding and cutting process and after 30 minutes of welding and cutting.
dd) Each individual house needs to be equipped with at least 01 fire extinguisher on each floor suitable to the size and conditions of the family. Fire extinguishers must be arranged in a conspicuous place, easy to get and convenient for use, in order to promptly handle the occurrence of fire and explosion incidents; Maximum travel distance to the fire extinguisher is not more than 20m.
