According to Article 36.37 of the Law on Health Insurance 2008, supplemented and amended in Clause 24, Article 1 of the 2014 Amended Health Insurance Law, the rights and obligations of health insurance participants are as follows:

Regarding the rights of health insurance participants:

Get a health insurance card when paying for health insurance
To pay health insurance according to the household at health insurance agents nationwide; selected
Get medical examination and treatment
To be paid by the health insurance organization for medical examination and treatment expenses according to the health insurance regime
To request health insurance organizations, medical examination and treatment establishments covered by health insurance and related agencies to explain and provide information about the health insurance regime.
Complaints and denunciations of violations of the law on health insurance.

Obligations of health insurance participants:

Pay full health insurance, on time
Use the health insurance card for the right purpose, do not lend the health insurance card to others
Implement regulations on medical examination and treatment procedures and health insurance
Comply with regulations and instructions of health insurance organizations and medical examination and treatment establishments when visiting for medical examination and treatment.
To pay medical examination and treatment expenses for medical examination and treatment establishments in addition to the expenses covered by the health insurance fund.
