MEDLAW hereby informs to you in the article below the requirements to be granted a medical practice certificate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1. Pursuant to Article 18 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2009 stipulating the conditions for granting medical practice certificate to Vietnamese people<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. Pursuant to Article 19\u00a0Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2009 stipulating the conditions for granting medical practice certificates in Vietnam to foreigners and overseas Vietnamese<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3. Pursuant to the above grounds, conditions for granting practice certificates to Vietnamese:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regarding degree\/diploma, the person who needs to be granted a practice certificate must have one of these following diplomas, certificates:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professional diplomas in health granted or recognized in Vietnam; or Certificates of herbalists; or Certificates of owners of herbal remedies or treatment methods.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Possessing a written certification of the practice duration, except for herbalists and owners of herbal remedies or treatment methods.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Possessing a health certificate for practicing medical examination and treatment.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, in order to perform practice medical examination and treatment, the person who granted the medical practice certificate must not fall into cases of being banned from professional practice or work related to the medical or pharmaceutical profession under court rulings or decisions; not being examined for penal liability: serving penal sentences or rulings of courts or administrative sanction decisions on confinement to educational or medical treatment establishments: not being disciplined by caution or a higher level related to professional medical examination and treatment; or losing civil act capacity or having civil act capacity restricted.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conditions for granting practice certificates to foreigners and overseas Vietnamese are:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For foreigners, the issuance of medical examination and treatment practice certificates also needs to meet the conditions mentioned above. In addition, such person must also meet the requirements on language use in medical examination and treatment specified in Article 23 of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2009, have a criminal record approved by a competent agency of the host country.
